Destiny Jackson is a Black visionary filmmaker, photographer, and videographer who was born in Washington, D.C., and currently based in the Prince George’s County area of Maryland.

Driven by a profound purpose, Destiny endeavors to craft narratives that authentically represent and resonate with communities often underrepresented in mainstream media, notably the Black, LGBTQIA+, and Gen-Z demographics. Her journey began at Bowie State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Communication and Digital Media Arts (VCDMA), specializing in Digital Cinema & Time-Based Media. Throughout her academic tenure, Destiny consistently earned placement on the Dean's List, while actively engaging in campus life through various organizations such as the Student Government Association, House of Bowie, and GoFech.

Destiny's love for the arts burgeoned in her formative years, where she naturally assumed the role of historian, capturing the essence of familial and social moments through her lens. A pivotal moment arrived during her freshman year of college when she received a Canon T6 as a Christmas gift, sparking the genesis of her creative exploration. Leveraging this newfound tool, she embarked on a journey of self-expression, curating captivating visual narratives spanning pop culture, music, and sports under her distinctive brand, 727 Artistry.

Her professional odyssey has seen her contribute to numerous film projects, lending her talents as a , Production Assistant. Complementing this, Destiny has undertaken pivotal internships within the sports media landscape, assuming roles such as Creative Producer at NFL Films and Videographer at the Washington Commanders. Notably, she collaborated with Adobe Gen Create on a campaign spotlighting student creators documenting their daily lives, and participated as a mentee in Disney on the Yard program, further enriching her multifaceted skill set.

Presently, Destiny holds the dual roles of Technical Video Editor and Administrative Lead at the Bowie Community Media Corporation, where she serves as a guiding force in assisting local producers in content creation for the City of Bowie's television station. Additionally, she embraces freelance opportunities that fuel her creative growth and expand her repertoire within the industry. With an unwavering commitment to authenticity and representation, Destiny Jackson continues to chart a course marked by creativity, innovation, and cultural resonance.
